Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and author who won several prizes. Her movies include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). Growing up in a family of artists in New York she wished to work in the field of art. She started as a photographic assistant before moving on to modeling and acting. She was noticed in two of her films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. MacGraw's movie Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world fame and the Academy Award' nomination and an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe award. After only three movies MacGraw was named the most successful female in box office history. In 1972, her footprints as well as autograph was engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Alongside The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television series The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw has been married three occasions.
