Silk was born in Fredericton in New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk was an acclaimed actor, producer and director who taught in St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter an academic with a reputation for excellence. Anna is awed by her mother's job and attending play rehearsals. Silk produced a number of commercials when she was still a kid. The Bachelor in Arts was awarded to her by St. Thomas University, 1997. The early stage work she did includes at least two productions with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto in order to perform and improve in November of 1999. In the following decade, she relocated to Los Angeles. She met her soon-to-be spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an acting training in Los Angeles, in 2007. Following their engagement in 2008, they tied the knot in the year 2009. The couple got married in Fredericton on the 10th April of 2011 following her conversion to Judaism they exchanged vows in the Jewish marriage ceremony.
