Hayley is an American actor and singer. Many people recognize the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy television show 'The Goldbergs'. She is primarily the performer. She says that music has always been her first love. At the age of 12, her music began to take more serious form and she began to train professionally. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13 and was 14 when she made her first album of cover songs. From that moment on, she has not ever looked back. Orrantia is of Hispanic heritage, yet was born in the USA. While she has never lived in or was a Spanish speaker in Mexico She is extremely proud of her Hispanic heritage. She hopes to protect the culture by writing Spanish songs, and also learning the Spanish language. One such song is "Hasta Verte," a song she composed in Spanish. Orrantia participated in The X Factor season 1's auditions throughout the summer of 2011. Her YouTube video was picked and she was awarded four "yeses", or votes by the judges at the Seattle audition. She initially auditioned for "Hollywood Week" as a solo artist. Three female singers along with her were brought together for auditions of the rest of her tracks. They were eliminated at the final show.
