Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comedian and performer, is well known for her work as a member of the cast in 'Saturday Night Live.' She started her career with the theatre, but became interested in comedy at the age of nine when she took a class in Improv. The initial plan was to become an actress, but realized that she had an aptitude for comedy. Therefore, her focus changed from acting to comedy improvisation. The path she took to her career started aboard a cruise vessel, singing with the other performers of Second City Conservatory & iO Chicago. Strong was able to continue performing at popular events such as Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest, and Virgin Daiquiri The female-only improv troupe. In 2012, she became a celebrity following her appearance as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" in the 39th season as a guest cast member hosting Weekend Update with Seth Meyers in the beginning, as well as Colin Jost later. The role of Cecily in the episode 'The Girls You Wouldn't Begin a Conversation with at Parties" was the most reminscent moment in her series. The year before she also released her debut film an untitled short film entitled "How to Sponsor an Uterus'. She's spoken out about the way women are treated in showbiz as only bikini models rather as strong protagonists in mainstream film.
